Leo is a little bastard, that is why I set this cat up with a site of his stories. Thanks for letting us sign your book. I have been trying to teach him to play pool, but he is to interested in running after skanks to pay any attention.
I like your site. it's one o the best I've had the pleasure of surfing.
Congrats on all your success in the pool world, hopefully I can follow in your steps. I built this website myself and I am constantly trying to grow pool in our area while promoting my site. Go check it out if you get some times and let me know what you think.
Hey Samm,
I'm not sure if you remember me, but I met you earlier this year at an AWBT stop. I just happened to stumble onto your website, so I thought I'd say hello. Great articles and great photos! I've started playing a lot more, so hopefully I will run into you again sometime.
Have a great day,
Amanda
I've been here every day for about a year or so and never signed your guest book. So here it is!! From the number one member of the "Cherry Bomb Squad".

Excellent Article:
I really liked your article on "Dead Stroke" vs. "In Stroke." You really get to the point of knowing that being "In Stoke" is more important for the consistency of ones game, because being "In stroke" will create a "dead stroke." I've been playing pool since I was 14yrs old and have won many, many, tournaments/money and I recently just started back playing the game and this game reminded me that I just did not become a pro by shooting on occasion, but rather practiced 3-9hrs a day. Like Malcolm Gladwell (outliers) www.gladwell.com puts it to be great, not just good, at anything in life, you must persistently practice whatever your doing with drive and passion. Over time you will become excellent. One of the very first questions I ask a player is why you are playing pool or what meaning doe’s pools have to you. If you enjoy the game for its very essence, then you will become a much better player than if you play it for the competition or money. I would like to see an article about what pool means to them: players like Nick Varner, Buddy Hall, Effen Reyes, Ray Martin, Thoston Hohmann, Cory Duel, Shane Van Boening, Steve Mizerack, Mika Immonen, Earl Stickland, Mike Sigel, Allen Hopkins, and many others what does pool mean to them in the past, present, and what they see happening in the future. Why did they start shooting pool and what are some of their most memorable moments?
Thank you,

Great site. And thanks for the link exchange. Also, you might consider posting up a link to the BCA Hall of Fame Banquet on your site. If you're interested, I can email you the link and a button. (You also can see how it looks on my blog, http://untoldstoriesbilliardshistory.blogspot.com/)
The Hall of Fame banquet is a nonprofit affair put together by the United States Billiard Media Association as a way to honor the BCA's new hall of fame inductees Allison Fisher and Johnny Archer. Because of the recession, the BCA has stopped funding the event and so the billiard media association has attempted to fill the gap by hosting the banquet during U.S. Open this year. You can read more about the banquet here:
http://www.usbma.com/HallofFame2009/
And remember: this is totally a nonprofit endeavor! We're just looking for a way to honor our greatest stars. It'll also be a great way to spend an evening if you make it out to Chesapeake for the U.S. Open this year.
Thanks again.

Hi Samm,
I really like the new look. Read your post about dead-stroke and in-stroke and hope to have a chance to post a comment later. I have been super busy lately.

Hi Samm,
Few things are more infuriating than inept referees. Aren't they supposed to be authorities?
Thanks for the great chat today. I hope to see you soon.

Well hello again this is Ricky. I see you liked the 3 ball rack at FM's. That was his Christmas present from me. Not sure you remember me but we got to meet at DCC and the Expo this year. I do some work for Sandy with Inside English.
Just wanted to say hello and FM had emailed me to see if I caught you blog about it.
Keep shooting straight.
Ricky Bryant
Great reading. Thank Sammy
Hi Samm, good luck in Vegas!!
Hey girl! It was great to meet you recently at DCC. You're doing a fantastic job as anchor for Inside Pool Extreme. Keep up the good work, my friend. If I can ever do anything for you in the future let me know. Thanks for voting me the sexiest preacher in America. Kinda has a ring to it.
-yow!
Hey Samm,
It was fun to see you away from Chinese Heritage Camp!
Samm,
Thanks so much for filling in with Mickey's this past weekend in MN. It was such a treat having you join us. I felt bad about my performance (losing 6 of 7 games), just off a bit. But then I watched Allison Fisher loose 8 out of 9 games to Karen Coor today at the Tournament of Champions. Anyone can have an off day. I am already looking ahead to Vegas! Thanks for you words of encouragement.
My son and I read through your book and had a big chuckle. He is 16 and has played in some junior events. We picked out our favorites. I have jotted a couple of ideas in the back for your next book and will email them to you. Some are along the same lines. Like, how bout the players who get down on their shot with the cigarette still in their mouth and the smoke rising into their eyes! You gotta love it. I am taking the book to the pool hall tomorrow night. I know the guys will be able to relate most of it.
You have a cute dog.
See you in Vegas, Connie
Nice site,
if you could only have those stickers available like transparecy type used on motor cars windshields (color & adhesive on one side) so that you can mount it from inside your car - hope you get the gist - it would be best seller.
One day I hope to meet you and mike (who also has a good site) or maybe when you come to Jamaica on vacation, ring me up!
By the way there will be a tournament (8-ball) in Montego Bay July 5/6, if you are interested. 1st prize is appox us$1,250.00 based on rate of exchange of 72 to 1.
Samm, So nice to see you in Vegas. My hubby said that you had a blog about matches etc. from a friend so I thought I would check it out. I'm giggling about your comments on our match~ I've NEVER made 3 eight ball breaks in a row in my entire life, so we both witnessed something I would bet impossible. Sorry I took so long to shoot, I never play 8 ball. That being said, having too many balls on the table with a couple of choices will really put me in a tizzy. Arrgh!! You played super and handled the pressure really well. I hope we can stay in touch, maybe see you in Olathe?? ~Jen
Just dropped by to say hi from down under!!
