I've said this before and I still stand by it: If you just want to win, play in tournaments that you can win. If you actually want to excel and improve, play in tougher tournaments against better players and challenge yourself.

Effective September 1, I’ll be the new house pro at Felt Billiards. This means that I’ll be moving all my private lessons, pool schools, and free monthly clinics there as well. I’m VERY excited to get started!!! As the new house pro, I have big plans for resuscitating the billiard life in the place.

We stopped into the Fleece this weekend where our friends Toshi Moriguchi, Dan Louie, and Suwanna Kroll were playing together in a 3-player team event. I've known Dan and Toshi for the past few years now and they're sort of like my 'road dads' when I'm traveling at all the big events. I met Suwanna a couple years ago when she so kindly hosted me for a few days when I was in town for the RTC.
