Dan Louie showed me this shot when I was in Seattle a couple years ago for RTC and I asked him to demonstrate for us again last month. It’s a double-kiss combo shot. Pretty sporty and can come in quite handy.
Take a look at the layout. What other option do you really have? I suppose you could attempt a safety.
The only thing to be cautious of is to make sure you don’t lose the cue ball. You shoot this shot with extreme outside (right-hand) english and it’s easy to let that cue ball get away from you.

awesome play! how much leeway space can you have between the cue ball and target in order for shot to work?
The two object balls need to be pretty close together but not frozen. If you hit it well, they can be more than a diamond from the pocket and still go. Dan shoots this shot great but I kept double-kissing the cue ball so it definitely requires practice. Glad you like it!
