On Thursday night, I arrived at PHX for this weekend’s AWBT stop in Tucson. Thursday night was spent talking shop. That would be all the non-competing business I would do all weekend.
With no Frank, tournament coverage, or any other distractions, my focus is on the tournament.
Truthfully, I’ve been feeling a bit discouraged lately. I recently make a slight adjustment to my stroke and have only recently started to feeling comfortable with the fix.
On Friday morning, Susan and I picked up Sunny from the airport and headed to Tucson. This month’s event is at the player-friendly room, Pockets. The owner, Lenny, is really great for pool. They have 9 Goldcrown IV’s, 2 Goldcrown I’s, 4 Valleys, and 2 Spider billiard tables. The players are in great shape and play awesome! More room photos to come.
I’m currently guaranteed third on the b-side and waiting for the loser of Susan and Kathleen’s match. I just escaped a hill-hill nail-biter after being down 5-0. I can’t wait to play!
