It’s one thing to just get to visit the beautiful city of New York, but it’s an indescribable experience to have such amazing hosts that live in the heart of the town. Mike and I had the honor of spending a couple days with Tony & Gail (aka Tonail, LOL) at their place which is, and I’m not lying, blocks from EVERYTHING!
That was the good part. The bad part was that we were only there for two days. Who plans a trip to NYC for only two days?!?? UGH! Well, at least it’s better than nothing. Oh! The other not-so-great part too was that it was spring break and I felt like we were fighting our way through mobs of teenage girls everywhere we went.
On our first night, T&G took us to their favorite Mexican restaurant which was “a couple blocks” from their place. It was fantastic! I had the crab quesadillas.
On our second and final night in town started with some pool at the famous Amsterdam Billiards, aka “ABC” before we headed to Monster Sushi with the gang for the most lovely meal, including a couple surprise out of towners.
We had to stop for a couple post-dinner photo on our way back to ABC.
Mike introduced the gang to “Flip-it.” I think it must be a MN game because I’ve never seen it played anywhere but here. Maybe it will take off in NYC now.
Tony and I discovered that we have matching sweet teeth.
A late night visit to the M to M (Morning to Midnight) Asian store give us hours of fun and enjoyment.
Sushi, sugar, pool, and good company. What else does a girl needs?
It was the perfect ending to our tournament weekend, and just before getting stranded.
There is so much talent in NYC. I don’t know how William Fuentes finds the time to edit all his photos. Click here for more photos from Will. And, if you are not familiar with Wei, make sure you check out his new website Pool.bz (formerly Cue Table). And, of course, we all know the lovely, Alison Fischer of NYCGrind.com.

Ok, so I’ve had like 300 “offers” to be my guest in NYC … THANKS CHERRYHAMMER!
LOL. I still miss you…wanna have a Tokyo roll for lunch with me today
Oh no! I’m so sorry Gaily. I tried to find something bad to say but couldn’t. Maybe you could just charge NY rates for the sleeper.
MISS YOUR GUTS!!!
