Buyer Beware

cautionIf you are seeking professional billiard instruction from someone who claims to be a BCA or ACS certified instructor or certified master instructor, you can use the following two websites to verify that information:
BCA (Billiard Congress of America)
ACS (American CueSports Aliance)

These are the two main recognized instructor programs. Do not be fooled by anyone who claims to be a certified master instructor for any other association or academy. Anyone can start their own school or academy and “certify” themselves as a master-level instructor.

It takes a lot of work to become certified and continue at that level. I commend those for doing so.  It should not be fair that anyone can just come along and misrepresent themselves as “certified” or “master certified” when they are not.

Though I have learned from many certified instructors, I am not certified myself and do not claim to be. I rely on good ol’ fashioned honesty and hard work. Do your homework and do not be misled by any instructor that claims to be what they are not.
