It’s that time of year again!
This is where I pack up my life and move into the stinky Riviera for a month. Well, not this year! This year, I’m participating in the BCA: 9-Ball Pro/Am, 8-Ball Scotch Doubles, 8-Ball Masters Singles, and there’s a 51% chance I’ll be subbing on a Ladies Masters Team. Of course, I’ll also be conducting interviews for IP during that time and I’ve got lots of WITC interviews lined up. So, make sure you tune in!
As I vowed last year, I will not be participating in the VNEA event so I get to fly home for a week during then. I will, however, be returning once it’s over for the ACS: Scotch Doubles, 9-Ball singles, and 8-Ball singles. There’s a lot of pool ahead for me!
I think I’m actually starting to get a little excited even.
Once we hit the road I don’t exactly know when I’ll have internet access again so I’ve scheduled some articles to post over the next couple weeks.
Enjoy your May!

The Riv doesn’t have internet access?
They do, for 10 BUCKS A DAY!!!
10 bucks per day, LOL.
It’s hilarious that they think people will buy that, but…well, people probably buy it.
Maybe you can pick up some wireless if you sit by the window. If that fails, I’m sure there’s some free hotspots (I know there’s some downtown).
According to playbca.com, “The Riviera Hotel & Casino has done more for pool and pool players than any other hotel in the world. They know and love pool and pool players, and they leave no stone unturned to help build better pool tournaments.”
In what way does the Riviera “stink”?
The Tip Jar welcomes the return of the Stargazer.
If anyone has ever frequented the Riviera and especially if you’ve entertained at the infamous Splash Bar, then you know what I’m referring to by “stinky.” It literally spells like old beer, puke, and wet dog, all in one.
So, I guess it’s a little less stinky this year with no more Splash Bar. It looks so strange coming around that corner now…
