Well, it finally arrived. My new Ivan Belmonte case arrived last week while I was still in MN with Mike. Kelle from next door was kind enough to keep it safe for me until I returned home. It was torture knowing that it had arrived and I couldn’t see it yet!
It’s absolutely stunning!
Check it out:

It’s a little flashier than I would’ve designed for myself, but the man does amazing work! It’s light weight AND it protects my cues! What more could I ask for? It’s one pound less than my former case (which I definitely put some miles on).
The case was hand-made by Ivan Belmonte himself in Barcelona, Spain.
- The outter sleeve is composed of black serpent (but is available in more than 15 colors in matte and gloss colt, snake or crocodile skin).
- The soft beautiful red lining is made from a velvety material (like a faux suede).
- It securely holds four butts, four shafts, including a spot for a jump butt.
- The flap covers are magnetic.
- There’s a sizable outer pouch.
- And, the embroidery is with gold thread.
Justis & Murnak both make great cases, but for a quality light weight case, check out IBCUECASES.COM and custom design your own today!
Here’s a photo of my evolution of cases. I’ve gone through more pool cases than cues, that’s for sure! I think I’ve found a keeper though.

Top to Bottom: Gisseppe leopard print (2x4), Instroke red/black suede (2x4), Porper travel case (2x4), Instroke custom Cherry Bomb case (2x4), Ivan Belmonte Custom Case (4x4 1/2)
As an added little surprise was the Wing-Rack! It’s no Delta-13, but this handy, compact rack fit just perfectly into the jump butt sleeve, secured snugly with the magnetic flap. Amazingly, the thing actually works great! I wonder how well it would work for straight pool.
