You know you’re a die hard when you’d rather be snowed in at the pool hall than try to “get home to beat the snow.” Yesterday, I was only planning to be at Rack ‘Em for a few hours for my pool lesson and a couple hours of practice before returning home to finish my laundry and pack. Once I learned that the snow would not be stopping until noon today (liars!) and that I most likely would not be making it on my 8:30 a.m. flight (which would mean I’d have to leave for the airport around 6 a.m.), I decided to stay and practice for a few extra hours instead of rushing home right away.
I mean, what was the point? By 5:30, my car was already buried under the white blanket!
I made a few phone calls to check on my flight and to let the FM know that I would be getting in later before returning to practice. By 10 o’clock, it was still snowing and the entire parking lot had turned into a giant freezing puddle. Juan was kind enough to pick me up with his car and drive around the block to drop me off as close to my car as possible. I can’t believe I forgot my snow boots!!!

I finally arrived at the airport this morning around 11 for my rebooked 12:45 flight which didn’t end up leaving DIA until 2:15. I must’ve looked like a total freak when I arrived in sunny 78 degree San Diego with my parka, muck lucks, and winter hat on. Mmmmm… I’ve missed the sun…

Wow…looks realllly cold…
I had some nice BBQ here in Germany on the 18th.
Hope you won´t freeze too much any longer.
Greeting from Germany
Stefan
PS. Always remember: I like my Icetea unsweetened, because… well…you know
