Regression & A Slight Imperfection
I returned to practice last night after being at camp all weekend. It was not a pretty sight. As soon as I got back to town Monday afternoon, the two things I could not wait to do were go to the gym (my new gym!) and practice. The gym part was great. The practice part… Eh… Not-so-hot.
Apparently, not hitting a ball for three days really set back some of that great work I’d been doing. It was so frustrating.
The worst part of it all was discovering the flaw in my tip will not go away:

Anyone ever seen this before? Apparently, there’s a bubble in the layer or laminate or something and there’s been a huge hole in the middle of my tip for days now. It’s driving me crazy! At first, I thought there was something in the middle of my shaper tool that was digging a hole into the middle of my tip. No. That wasn’t the case. Then, I realized I couldn’t get rid of it. Arrrrrrrgh!!!
This is the original tip that came with this particular Z2 shaft. I’ve already filed about half of it down in attempt to get rid of it, but I’m not having much luck. I think it might be getting smaller??? Maybe…
I’m just going to have to break down and get the tip replaced before I can’t stand it anymore and rip it off.
I doubt the actual flaw has caused me to miss any shots, it’s just really more the mental distraction than anything that’s driving me bonkers.
