What a Trooper!
I feel for poor Thorsten Hohmann who had a 9:30p.m. match last night against Great Britain’s Daryl Peach. Toasti had just spent the entire night before in the emergency room from a horrible bout of food poisoning. You could see him replenishing himself with Gatorade and also holding his stomach at times. Never once though, did he lose his composure, as usual…
I know the photo is not great, but if you look closely, you can see where he had the IV in his left arm. Poor guy. I completely feel for him after my recent experience with some bad caesar. I asked some of his friends that were there what he ate last night and they said it might have been the steak from Kady’s (the 24 hour diner at the Riv). Eek! Yeah, that place is toxic. I try to avoid it when possible.
He really hung in there and they were neck n neck the whole way until 7-7. Final score: 10-7, Daryl.
In case I forgot to mention, the BCA tournament is over for me. I opted not to participate in teams so I could focus on my multiple jobs here. Mike & I finished 17-24th in the masters scotch and I finished 9-12th in the masters singles. Now, it’s just work, work, work time.
