Project: New Shaft (Day 9)
Practiced for about four hours at Table Steaks East last night. Nothing exciting to report.
Worked on this great drill that Bob gave me for a while. Set up tons of shots where the object ball is near the rail and I have to use outside (those seem to giving me some trouble with the new shaft). Got stuck working on the L Drill for a couple hours at the end. I just got obsessed with it.
More to report soon.

Samm,
It is hard for myself and many others to practice without just banging balls around. What do you work on when you practice for hours at a time? What is the “L drill?”
Hi Samm,
Mike Massey was doing shows again out here. I was surprised to see a Predator “Z2″ shaft on his stick. He told me he has been using it for awhile now, and he likes it… His table runs were nearly magical. Our 8 foot bar tables are not level, rails are imperfect, pockets are sometimes unforgiving, but his touch was so smooth and clean it seemed he got nearly perfect position nearly all the time. He usually gives the opponent a chance, but then runs out without thinking after that.
